This is some text inside of a div block.

Alexander Munguia was born in El Salvador and migrated to the U.S in 2000. He has been living in San Francisco ever since. After completing high school, Alex attended City College of San Francisco and later San Francisco State University. Alex majored in Fire Science and Social Sciences, becoming Firefighter I State Certified.

Alex has gained key administrative experience through internships and volunteer work. His most recent experience comes from his time as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) intern within the Department of Human Resources for the County of Marin.

Alex is pursuing a career in Human Resources. Through the DreamSF Fellowship, Alex looks forward to serving the immigrant community while at the same time gaining relevant experience in HR. For the DreamSF Fellowship, Alex has been placed at Mission Graduates, where he will perform administrative duties that overlap with HR principles such as hiring and on-boarding process, payroll and other administrative assignments.

Alex has a strong commitment to the immigrant community and he regularly volunteers in areas where his skills are best utilized. Alex’s investment in the immigrant community is strong; never forgetting that even with a college education and complete integration to this country, he is and always will be an immigrant.
