Marisol Lopez

This is some text inside of a div block.

Marisol Lopez is a student at the University of California, Berkeley.  Born in Bolivia and raised in Los Angeles by her immigrant parents, Marisol’s family moved to the United States when she was eight years old in pursuit of better opportunities and a brighter future. She is the youngest of three children and is the first in her family to attend college.

Marisol is passionate about immigrant rights and desires to be of service to underserved communities through providing legal services. She hopes to attend law school in the near future and to one day open her own immigration law office. As a current DACAmented student, Marisol has been able to study abroad with the Advance Parole process and spend a summer in Spain. Previously, she worked as a Legal Assistant in a private firm, and is a current member of the Latino-Pre Law Society.

As a DreamSF fellow on the Catholic Charities Legal Service team, Marisol's role is working with clients regarding their U-Visa application and assisting them in filling out forms. Her dream is to continue serving the San Francisco community and making an impact in people’s lives by fighting for justice and equality for all immigrants.
